The FMCW radar level transmitter is a non-contact measuring device suitable for high-temperature, high-pressure, and corrosive applications. It is easy to install and maintenance-free, especially in environments requiring high accuracy.
PRINCIPLE
The FMCW radar uses a high-frequency signal, emitted through an antenna and boosted by 0.5 GHz during measurement. This signal is reflected off the target surface and received with a time delay. The frequency difference, calculated from the transmitted and received frequencies, is directly proportional to the measured distance (or material surface area).
The frequency difference is then processed using Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) to identify the signal at the intermediate frequency (IF). This FMCW radar incorporates signal-to-noise ratio enhancement and return echo filtering via a phase-locked loop (PLL) circuit, making it the ideal solution for complex environments and high-precision measurements.
